Because of This Woman
I am in no way an expert on history, nor do I have a degree in women’s studies. But still, I am a woman. I follow the #feminism tag on tumblr, and while I learn a LOT from these fantastic women who share their feelings and opinions, I also tend to notice a lot of negativity.
“Fuck the patriarchy! Women never get the credit they deserve!”
While I agree with this somewhat, I figure that the best way to get the credit that we as women deserve, is to spread the word about the women who have impacted us thus far in a positive manner.
And so I started this blog. Every day, I research one new woman in history who has impacted the world, through art, science, activism, film, music, etc. And while I in no way claim to be an expert, I must say, I am learning more and more as I do this. And I hope you do too =)
